Mayor Bowser, Events DC, and Monumental Sports and Entertainment announced a few weeks ago a deal to build a new Entertainment and Sports Arena on the east campus of St. Elizabeths. To be completed in 2018, it will be the home to the Washington Mystics, a practice facility for the Washington Wizards, and a host to some of the city's mid-sized entertainment events.
Tonight, Events DC will present its plan to the Ward 8 community and take feedback on how to make this new facility #BiggerThanBasketball and a net positive for the surrounding community.
